ConvertWiki is built around a simple principle: process only what is needed for the selected tool and avoid storing user files as product data.

ConvertWiki is built around a simple principle: process only what is needed for the selected tool, keep workflows minimal, and avoid storing user files as product data.

Our tools are designed for everyday conversion, compression, formatting, and cleanup tasks. We do not require accounts, and we aim to collect as little information as possible while keeping the service fast and reliable.

Security at a glance

  • No account required to use ConvertWiki

  • Browser-first processing whenever possible

  • Files are processed only for the selected task

  • Uploaded and generated files are automatically deleted

  • File contents are not used for training, analytics, or secondary purposes

  • We do not permanently store, archive, or reuse uploaded files

  • Service infrastructure is hosted with DigitalOcean

Browser-first processing

Many ConvertWiki tools run directly in your browser whenever possible. This helps reduce unnecessary uploads and keeps simple tasks fast, such as text formatting, unit conversion, JSON formatting, encoding, decoding, and similar lightweight utilities.

When a task can be completed locally in the browser, ConvertWiki avoids sending more data than necessary.

File processing

Some tools require server-side processing, especially for file conversion, compression, image optimization, PDF handling, video, audio, or other operations that cannot always run efficiently in the browser.

When you upload a file:

  • The file is processed only to complete the action you requested

  • Temporary storage may be used only for processing

  • Uploaded and generated files are automatically deleted within a maximum of 1 hour

  • Files are not permanently stored, archived, or reused

ConvertWiki does not build datasets from user files.

No file content logging

ConvertWiki does not log, store, or analyze the contents of uploaded files beyond what is technically required to complete the selected operation.

We do not use uploaded files for:

  • AI model training

  • Product analytics

  • Advertising profiles

  • Manual review

  • Resale or third-party datasets

Data minimization

ConvertWiki does not require users to create an account. This reduces the amount of personal information needed to use the service.

We may collect limited technical and usage data to operate and improve the website, such as browser type, device type, basic page usage, and tool usage frequency. This data does not include the contents of uploaded files.

Infrastructure

ConvertWiki is hosted on infrastructure provided by DigitalOcean. Files that require server-side processing may be temporarily processed on servers managed by our hosting provider.

We rely on reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect data during transmission and processing.

HTTPS and transmission security

ConvertWiki uses secure HTTPS connections to help protect data transmitted between your browser and the website.

Even with these safeguards, no internet-based service can guarantee absolute security. For highly sensitive, regulated, confidential, or mission-critical documents, we recommend using specialized offline or enterprise-grade tools.

User responsibility

You are responsible for the files and data you submit to ConvertWiki.

Please make sure that:

  • You have the legal right to upload and process the files

  • Your use of the service complies with applicable laws

  • You review generated outputs before relying on them

  • You avoid uploading highly sensitive or confidential information

Third-party access

ConvertWiki does not sell, trade, or share uploaded file contents with third parties for marketing or analytics purposes.

Third-party access is limited to what is necessary to operate the service, such as hosting infrastructure.

Security limitations

ConvertWiki is designed for fast, everyday conversion and formatting tasks. It is not intended to replace enterprise document management, regulated data processing systems, or specialized secure file-handling environments.

We continuously work to improve the platform, but no method of transmission, processing, or storage is completely secure.
